(b) The IUPAP-TIFR Homi Bhabha Award was established by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research(TIFR), Mumbai (India), and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) in the year 2010 as part of the celebration of the centenary of the birth of Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, who founded the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in 1945.Prize is awarded to an active scientist who has made distinguished contributions in the field of nuclear energy over an extended academic career.
