(b) In 1526 A.D., Babur defeated Sultan Ibrahim Lodi at the battle of Panipat. It was the first battle of Panipat fought between the invading forces of Babur and Lodi kingdom. In this battle, gunpowder was used for the first time and field artillery was introduced by Babur. It also marked the beginning of the Mughal Empire in India.
