(d) The Nelong Valley is located in the state of Uttarakhand. It is situated at the altitude of 11,000 feet. Nelong Valley is considered to be one of the most beautiful regions in the Uttarkashi district.The landscape is complemented by rich wildlife of endangered species like Himalayan Blue Sheep, Snow Leopard and Musk Deer. Nelong Valley cradled near the India-China border was closed for the civilians after the 1962 Sino-Indian war. It was opened for the tourists in 2015.
