(d) India and Pakistan were formally inducted as the newest members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in June 2017 in the first-ever expansion of the six-member group in Astana(Kazakhstan). SCO is a Eurasian political, economic and military organisation, which was founded in Shanghai by the leaders of China,Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the year 2001.
