Pandit Ravi Shankar is the Indian musician who has recently beenawarded with lifetime international Grammy award. He was legendary sitar maestro. Shankar received the award posthumously on February 10,2013 at the 55th Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. The sitar maestro, who popularised Indian classical music in the West and had a major influence on the Beatles' George Harrison and Yehudi Menuhin.
