The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has given theclearance for using the frequency from KU band for using the satellite for internet. It will be for the first time that internet will beoperational in moving trains through satellite. KU band isprimarily used for satellite communications, most notably the downlink used by direct broadcast satellites to broadcast satellitetelevision. The KU band is the portion of the electromagneticspectrum in the microwave range of frequencies from 12 to 18gigahertz (GHz). The symbol is short for “K-under” (originally German: Kurz-unten).So, both statements are correct.
