The synthetic rubber has replaced natural rubber for domestic and industrial purposes because natural rubber is unable to meet the growing demand of different industries. There are other reasons too for the low production, which are as follows: 1) High labour cost 3) Unrestricted import by large tyre companies in India, leading to domestic demand reduction 4) Productivity is lesser per hectare 5) High input costs 6) Fall in natural rubber prices which break to tap the potential for rubber growth
