UPSC 2017 CDS II GK Paper

The President of India is elected by an Electoral College comprising of the elected members of both the Houses of the Parliament, the Legislative Assemblies of the States and the Legislative Assemblies of the NCT of Delhi and Puducherry. Article 54 provides that the President is elected by the method of indirect election, i.e., by an electoral college consisting of the elected members of both the Houses of the Parliament and of the state legislative assemblies.
