Liquefying a gas means conversion of gas into liquid. The two necessary conditions for liquification of gases are:
high pressure and low temperature. When a high pressure is applied to a gas, it gets compressed and when we lower its temperature, it gets cooled. For example, Ammonia gas can be liquefied by applying high pressure and lowering temperature.
