China was defeated by India to win the Women’s Hockey Asia Cup title, 2017. India defeated China to win women's Asia Cup hockey title and qualified for 2018 World Cup. Indian women's hockey team defeated China 5-4 in shoot-out to win its second Asia Cup (first one was won in 2004) title at Kakamigahara in Japan.
