Area of rectangle = Length × breadth
Calculations:
The rectangle of the length of 10 units and breadth of 8 units can be split asy is the area of the rectangle and x is the area of square
Using the above formula
⇒ Area of square =(5)2
⇒x=25 unit ‌2
⇒ Area of rectangle =5×3
⇒y=15unit2
Therefore, y<x
∴ Only statement 2 is correct.
