Madari Pasi took over the Eka Movement started by the Congress in Awadh during 1921–22. It is a peasant movement started in Hardoi, Bahraich and Sitapur. Initially, it was an offshoot of Non– Cooperation Movement and supported by the leaders of Congress and Khilafat Movement.
