The revised estimates (RE) for 2017–18 reveal a GFD (Gross Fiscal Deficit )–GDP ratio of 3.1 percent for all the states, thus crossing the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) threshold for the third consecutive year. The Special Category States had run up a higher level of fiscal deficit in 2017–2018 (6.6) compared to 2016–2017 (3.0).
