Statement-1: n is a natural number
When n is odd, a factor of (xn+yn) is (x+y) but,
No factor in the case when n is even
Statement-2: n is an even natural number
We have discussed already when n is even, there is no factor.
In this case (xn+yn) will not be divisible by (x+y)
∴ Statement-2 alone is sufficient to answer the question.
