The Ministry of Power, Government of India has recently constituted a committee to investigate the causes of the accident that occurred on 1st November, 2017 at Feroze Gandhi Thermal Power Plant Ltd., Unchahar, in Uttar Pradesh. Shri P.D. Siwal is the Chairman of the Committee. In exercise of powers conferred under section 161 (b) of the Electricity Act, the Ministry of Power, the Government of India, constituted the 4–member (including the Chairman) committee.
