Solution:

Second number is the largest. Let it be

x,

then first number is

x / 2

and third number is

x / 3

So, their average is

{x+{x}/{2}+{x}/{3}}/{3}=44

⇒ {11 x}/{18}=44

x= {44 × 18}/{11}=72
