Formula:

Calculation:
${\left(\mathit{a}+\mathit{b}\right)}^2$ = 74 + 2 × 35
⇒ ${\left(\mathit{a}+\mathit{b}\right)}^2$ = 74 + 70
⇒ ${\left(\mathit{a}+\mathit{b}\right)}^2$ = 144
⇒ a + b = $\sqrt{144}$
⇒ a + b = 12
Sum of square of two numbers is 12.
