Excluding stoppages, the speed of a bus is 72 kmph and including stoppages, it is 60 kmph. For how many minutes does the bus stop per hour?

Solution:

According to the question.
Due to stoppages the bus covers 72 - 60 = 12 km less.
∴ Time taken to cover 12 km

= {12}/{72} × 60=10 {\min}

Hence, bus stops for 10 minutes inevery hour.
