The simple and compound interest that can be earned in two years at the same rate is ₹1500 and ₹1575, respectively. What is the rate (% per annum) of interest?

Solution:

CI = ₹1575, SI = ₹ 1500, Rate=?
By formula,

{ {\CI}}/{ {\SI}}= {200+r}/{200}

⇒

{1575}/{1500}= {200+r}/{200}

⇒

15(200+r)=2 ×1575

⇒

200+r=2 × 105=210

∴

r=210-200=10 \%
