= 0, then the ratio x : y : z is :

Solution:

a^2 + b^2

= 0
⇒ a = 0 and b = 0
∴

(2x – y)^2 + (3y – 2z)^2

= 0
∴ 2x – y = 0 ⇒ 2x = y
⇒ x : y = 1 : 2
and, 3y – 2z = 0 ⇒ 3y = 2z
⇒ y : z = 2 : 3
∴ x : y : z = 1 : 2 : 3
