Solution:

x-5√x-1=0

⇒x/√x-{5√x}/√x-1/√x=0

⇒√x-1/√x=5

Squaring both sides,

x+1/x-2×√x×1/√x=25

⇒x+1/x=27

Again squaring both sides

x^2+1/x^2+2=729

⇒x^2+1/x^2=727
