Given

S_{n}=3 n^{2}+2 n

T_{ r }= S _{ r }- S _{ r -1}

=3 r^{2}+2 r-(3(r-1)^{2}+2(r-1))

=3 r^{2}+2 r-3 r^{2}+6 r-3-2 r+2

= 6r -1.
